ImagXpress 13 for ActiveX - User Guide > How To > View an Image > Modify Image View > Change Image Display Rendering |
The ImagXpress® control provides advanced image display features. The following properties will alter the display of an image after it loads, without changing the image itself. These operations are faster than actually changing the image data and not permanent. They are particularly useful when using multiple views of one image. In that case, an operation on the image data would effect all views of that image buffer, while these operations will only effect one view.
The ViewAntialias property enables or disables the anti-alias effect. When the logical size of an image is reduced to less than the actual size of the image, then some of that image’s pixels will get lost. When ViewAntiAlias is enabled, all of the pixels that would occupy the same area are averaged together. This prevents fine lines from being lost, and allows a full page of printed text to be read clearly.
The ViewBrightness property sets the change-of-brightness level for the image. Allows the user to adjust the brightness of the displayed image.
The ViewContrast property sets the change-of-contrast level for the image. Allows the user to adjust the contrast of the displayed image.
The ViewGrayMode property controls how ApplyGrayscaleTransform method levels the image: either via the standard algorithm or the medical algorithm.
The ViewSmoothing property enables or disables the view smoothing effect. When the logical size of an image is increased to more than the actual size of the image, the image starts to look boxy. When ViewSmoothing is enabled, ImagXpress performs a smoothing algorithm that smoothes out the square edges.
The ViewDithered property enables or disables the use of dithering.
